This school too, receives more public attention as it is near Kunjithanny town, and hence a highly facilitated school is a necessity. The total project cost was Rs 4.83 crore (KIIFB) and was utilized for the construction of a High School Block and an Academic block. The project was launched on the 3^rd of May, 2018 and was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan on the 9^th of September, 2020. The buildings were designed by KITCO and the construction supervision was done by WAPCOS.

Situated near Nedumkandam town, this project is expected to be completed with a huge Rs 7 crore budget, which includes 2 blocks-one completed and the other reaching 80% completion as of the last quarter of 2020. The project was launched on the 9^th of November, 2018 and is expected to be handed in it’s totality by 2021. These buildings were also designed by KITCO and the construction supervision is being done by WAPCOS.

Mahatma Gandhi HSS Pala, also received a huge budget of  Rs 6 crore (5 Cr from KIIFB and 1 Cr from MLA Asset Development Fund) in expanding and modernizing it’s infrastructure to international standards. An HSS block of G+2 and a single floor activity area was constructed using the majority of the fund. This project was launched on the 16^th of May, 2018 and inaugurated by the Hon’ble CM of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan. As per government protocol, these constructions were also designed by KITCO and the construction supervision was done by WAPCOS. The rest of the budget went into equipping the classrooms, toilets for boys, girls as well as specially constructed ones for handicapped students, ample parking facilities etc as well as into other amenities.

The total cost for modernizing this school is expected to be Rs. 5 crore. A new block of G+2 for the higher secondary department is being constructed, as the existing one is worn out, and could not be utilized or converted into a fully functioning building as per the general standard planned by the Government of Kerala. The project was launched on the 2^nd of January, 2019 and even with considering the slowdown in construction due to the lockdowns imposed by the Government of India and Kerala in varying degree due to the Covid pandemic, 80% of the project has been completed as of the last quarter of 2020, and the project in it’s totality, is expected to be handed over by 2021. These constructions were also designed by KITCO and the construction supervision is being done by WAPCOS.

This project is also similar to the GVHSS Mundakayam project, as the estimated project cost is also Rs. 5 crore.  Started on the 15^th of January 2019, a new Higher Secondary Department block of G+2 is being constructed and 90% of the construction has already been completed, hence the estimated handing over of this project is planned by 2020 itself. By dismantling the old block and replacing it with a high tech building with standard amenities, it is envisioned to create a more enthusiastic atmosphere for the existing students as well as attract more, in future. These constructions are also designed by KITCO and the construction supervision is being done by WAPCOS.

The construction work as GHSS Karapuzha is expected to be around Rs 4.75 crore by completion. Two blocks are being built which would comprise of a Higher Secondary block of G+2 along with a dining hall, kitchen, and a well equipped staff room. This project was launched on 14^th of January, 2019 and around 60% of the work has been completed as of the last quarter of 2020. The project is expected to be handed over by 2021. These constructions are also designed by KITCO and the construction supervision is being done by WAPCOS.

Situated at the heart of the city, GHSS Thodupuzha naturally receives more public attention and hence, the dismantling of the old building to be replaced with a new high tech one, was inevitable. The project of a Higher Secondary Block as well as the High School block of G+2, received a total budget of Rs 4.82 crore (KIIFB). The project was launched on the 2^nd of May, 2018 and was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan on 9^th of September, 2020. As with the other projects, the buildings were designed by KITCO and the construction supervision was done by WAPCOS.

Lying on the Kottayam-Kumily highway, near Vandiperiyar city, GHSS Vandiperiyar also received a face lift, with 2 new blocks, one completed, and the other still under construction. The project was launched on 28^th of October, 2018 and is expected to be handed over, in its totality by 2021. The total cost is expected to be around Rs 4.5 crore.  These buildings were also designed by KITCO and the construction supervision is being done by WAPCOS.

This project has more social importance than others as it provides more opportunities for Tribal students of the district. The total project cost is estimated to be around Rs 5 crore and is primarily for the creation of a new block with high tech facilities, after dismantling the existing worn out building. Launched on the 2^nd of November, 2018, the project is 80% complete as on the last quarter of 2020, and is expected to be completed by 2021. These buildings were also designed by KITCO and the construction supervision is being done by WAPCOS.

GHSS, Thirkkodithanam is a prestigious school that lies closer to the town of Changanassery than it does to Kottayam. A total project cost estimated around Rs 6 crore (5 Cr from KIIFB and 1 Cr from MLA Asset Development Fund), one of its largest budgets in the district, has been utilized efficiently on multiple areas as follows. A High School Block of G+2 and a Lower Primary block were constructed using this fund, as well as a horizontal extension of the Higher Secondary department. The project was launched on the 3^rd of July 2018, and was inaugurated by the Hon’ble CM of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan on the 9^th of September, 2020. The buildings were designed by KITCO and the construction supervision was done by WAPCOS. The Govt of Kerala’s prestigious Hitech classrooms were installed along with adequate lab facilities, dining hall, toilets for handicapped students, as well as other amenities.
